Academic Writing

I was originally trained as a computer and telecommunications scientist and began my academic journey publishing in journals such as IEEE Communications Magazine and IEEE Wireless Communications. However, I soon realized that technology alone would not address the challenges I was passionate about solving.

After spending a decade developing innovations and social enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa to create meaningful impact for low-income communities, I shifted my focus to researching the management and transitions of socio-economic systems, particularly in the context of moving toward a post-growth economy.

Today, my scholarship is best described as focusing on “Sustainable Transitions and Post-Growth.” I contribute to academic discussions in journals like Business Strategy and the Environment and Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions.
